Preparing for your Maine White Water Rafting Vacation

Our Pricing Policy

We try our hardest to offer the highest quality river experience at the lowest possible prices available.

Reservations

Reservations for whitewater rafting are necessary and we suggest you make them early to receive the dates you prefer.  To receive a trip quote complete our on-line trip planning form.   Magic Falls accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

Our Reservations Policy:

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. The final non-refundable balance is due 1 month prior to scheduled arrival. All reservations are final. If unforeseen circumstances should arise, rescheduling will be possible if Magic Falls is notified more than 48 hours before your scheduled arrival. No refund will be granted in the case of cancellation; cancellation of an existing reservation will result in loss of funds.

Surcharge goes to the Kennebec River Road Use Fee, Dead River Road Use Fee, & Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

Magic Falls Rafting Co. reserves the right to change the trip format, river, river sections, raft size, number of guests per raft, or trip times due to weather conditions, water levels, or other factors beyond our control.  Magic Falls Rafting Co. reserves the right to reschedule or cancel without notice your trip if you miss your scheduled trip time, you show signs of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, you are physically unable to participate in your scheduled trip, or Magic Falls or Magic Rivers feels you are not suited to your scheduled trip.

One call on our toll-free number can take care of everything. We'll reserve your raft trip and arrange overnight accommodations and meals. You may choose the River's Inn, Dead River Lodge. Or stay with us at our Magic Rivers Campground on the shores of the beautiful Dead River.

Safety and Liability

Before your river trek begins, we give a brief safety talk. This not only is a precautionary safety measure, but lets you in on some river insights from the river guides' point of view. All guides are trained in first aid, CPR, and water rescue. Of course, Coast Guard approved life jackets and all safety equipment are provided.

Whitewater rafting is a physical sport which involves inherent risks, so we do everything possible to insure a safe trip. Because of the nature of outdoor recreational sports, we do not accept responsibility for personal safety and we are not liable for lost or damaged personal items. All rafters are required to sign a Waiver of Liability and Risk Assumption.

Magic Falls Rafting reserves the right to change the trip itinerary should water conditions create flows too high or too low.

What to Wear

For your comfort, you should bring a bathing suit, sneakers, shorts, sweater, hat, windbreaker, or quick-drying nylon clothing. No cotton please!

On the spring and fall trips we require that you wear a wetsuit while on the river. You are welcome to rent one of our suits or bring one of your own. Rental of a full suit is $15.00, a half is $8.00, and booties are $5.00. Bring wool socks.

"This is my second time at Magic Falls. Each time, you guys have knocked it out of the park. I know you can't put a price on an unforgettable experience, but it still blows my mind the value you get from Magic Falls. The moment everyone got off the raft, coming back later this year was brought up immediately. Send out my heart felt thanks to the entire staff, and our river guides Chris and Ben for the awesome experience. I tried to leave glowing reviews on a couple websites because you guys probably deserve to be the most popular rafting place in Maine.

"We feel like we’re visiting family when we’re there.
I’ve come back every year since 2000 (17 years) and have never rafted with anyone else. Guests I’ve brought over the years have only had good things to say about the service and experience we get from Magic Falls Rafting Co.
Some of those guests had previously rafted with other outfits and have said they’d only raft with Magic Falls again.

"Thank you once again Magic Falls for creating this opportunity for at risk youth from Long Creek Youth Development Center! Because of your generosity, our youth had the chance to experience 2 incredible days on the river, an opportunity many would never of had otherwise. Your staff have superior knowledge and professionalism, always making our group feel welcomed, valued and safe. Truly an experience of unbelievable value. "Thank you for the memorable rafting trip. The joy on the faces of the kids was unforgettable. All of the guides did a wonderful job with the kids. Your generosity is part of the kids believing kindness is a good thing." - a quote from staff.
