Maine White Water Rafting Trips on the Kennebec & Dead Rivers

Your whitewater adventure includes:

  • A licensed Maine whitewater river guide
  • Safety Equipment: PFD, helmet and paddle

After the trip: A Barbecue (with choice of steak, chicken, fish or veggie burger), slideshow or video of the day's excitement!

PLEASE NOTE: During the  early and late "shoulder seasons" wetsuits may be required depending on weather conditions! Be prepared to rent a wetsuit ($20) if you do not have your own. Booties and Paddle Jackets are optional and available for rent upon request.   A user fee of $7.00 per person for the Kennebec trip and $15.00 per person for the Dead River trip will be assessed to cover the Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife and State of Maine meal tax.

Magic Rivers Multi-Gorge Adventure

Twice the run, twice the fun.  The Multi-Gorge trip is for the high adventure thrill-seeker on the Kennebec River.  Raft the 5 mile Upper Kennebec Gorge through Class III to V whitewater, take out at Carry Brook, return to Harris Station and ride the Upper Gorge again.  Take out at Carry Brook and return to base camp for a hearty barbecue.  The Magic Rivers Adventure is offered any day excluding high-water release days.   A minimum of 6 people is required. We will try to combine passengers from different parties to qualify for the minimum.

Any day  $139.   Minimum age 10.   In addition to the trip price, a fee of $12.00 per person will be charged to cover the Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife road fee and State of Maine meal tax.

Weekend Upper Gorge Adventure

This trip offers a full Kennebec river trip with BBQ on Saturday and an upper Gorge Class III and IV trip on Sunday morning. Take out at Carry Brook and return to base camp by noon.  Minimum age 10. 
$ 169.00 pp    In addition to the trip price, a fee of $14.00 per person will be charged to cover the Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife road fee and State of Maine meal tax.

Sport Boat - Whitewater Raft

A sport boat is a 13-foot raft that is very responsive especially on lower water flows, allowing to surf and play in the smaller rapids.

Add $10.00 per person to price of regular trip.

$25/day full wetsuit.  $8.00 booties

10% discount on any regularly priced Kennebec or Dead River Trip throughout the season

Kids Raft Half Price

Any weekday in July & August, kids age 15 and under raft for 1/2 price with an adult paying the regular daily rafting rate.

Dead River Lodge..... King $109 per room/per night plus Maine lodging tax

                                   Queen $99 per room/per night plus Maine lodging tax

                                   Bunk $45 per person/per night plus Maine lodging tax

River's Inn ..... $500 for up to 8 people and $50.00 per each additional person plus Maine lodging tax

Campground..... $25.00 plus tax pp per night

Cabin Tents ..... $30.00 plus tax pp per night

The Dead is the longest, continuous stretch of Class III-V whitewater in the East. Always use caution when recreating on or near dammed waters as water levels could change without notice.
