Whitewater Rafting on the Kennebec River in Maine

One Day Kennebec River Whitewater Rafting Adventure

The Kennebec River Gorge is one of the most beautiful in the East with steep rock walls covered with conifers on both sides, and with many waves that are four to six feet high. You'll paddle into rapids with names like Big Mama, White Washer, and the famous Magic Falls. Then, with the rapids behind you, jump in and float with the current while you feel the power of the river, taking you downstream.

After your raft trip, enjoy a hearty meal of steak, chicken, fish or veggie burger, rice pilaf, cole slaw, roll, lemonade and our homemade berry cake, followed by a slide show of your trip. You'll relive the big hits of your trip!

Four times each year the power company tests the turbines of Harris Station.  The waterflow is wide open to 8,000 cfs-a truly special, thrilling ride almost twice the usual waterflow.  These 2024 Kennebec High Water releases are scheduled for June 8, July 8, September 7 and September 21.

We try our hardest to offer the highest quality river experience at the lowest possible prices available.

Minimum age is 10 years (12 years for high water.)

In addition to the trip price, a fee of $7.00 per person will be charged to cover the State of Maine taxes and road fees.

Sport Boat - Whitewater Raft

A sport boat is a 13-foot long raft, the smallest the State of Maine allows on the Kennebec River. These rafts are very responsive especially on lower water flows, so you can surf and play in the smaller rapids. Magic Falls Rafting Co was the first company to offer this kind of trip.

Add $10.00 per person to price of regular trip.
